What Roberts Creek homeowners say
“Yes. Very likely and have done so already.”
See this roof 1 photo · Deep Charcoal Standing Seam“This was a difficult job, during very difficult times. The team faced off against one of the worst of our west coast wet winters on record and delivered a beautiful result safely. This would normally be a good result any day but imagine that the entire team also had to deal with all aspects of the COVID-19 virus. This included a number of challenges that made completing any project difficult, from manufacturing all the way through to unforeseen impacts on supply chains and tight logistics and movement for travelling installation crews. On budget, on time, wonderful looking results. Project management and communications. We were completely caught off guard by certain early activities that happened without any warning. “The communication at first, prior to the project starting was poor. Finally I called Randal and things improved... As a whole all workers were respectful, responsive and the end result is beautiful.”
“Yes but with a warning over timeline flexibility. Communication between work crew and house owners needs improvement. Bigger crew for bigger jobs.”
“A quick communication from the roofing crew when they we're delayed by the ferry on day one would have been appreciated, but overall, communication was good. We appreciated the information given during our first meeting, and being able to meet in our home. We didn't feel pressured to make an immediate commitment (but sure were quickly convinced you were the right choice!) When it's time to replace the rest of our roof, we'll definitely be in touch!”
Roofing in Roberts Creek: what to plan for
A wet coast under tall trees
Most Coast homes sit under firs and cedars and stay damp from fall to spring. Cedar and asphalt grow moss; aluminum absorbs nothing and cannot rot. We'll tell you what to clear from valleys and gutters and how often.
Planned around the ferry
Material and crews come over on the Langdale ferry, and further for Powell River. We plan the sailings, staging and disposal at the estimate so the install window you get in writing is one we can keep.
Forest on every side
Summers on the Coast are dry and much of it is wildland-urban interface. Class A is available on our roofs as a complete assembly (two layers of GAF VersaShield® over 12 mm (15/32-inch) plywood, per ASTM E108), and aluminum does not ignite.
Waterfront and cabins
Aluminum does not rust near salt water, and Interlock panels lock on all four sides with the fasteners concealed. Wind resistance is warranted to 193 km/h (120 mph) installed to manufacturer specification.
